NSRT’s very own ‘Head Technical Coach’ - Martin Rendle has been a SUP paddle racer for 10 years, taking part in many races on the domestic UK scene and also with a splattering of international races..

Specialising in endurance SUP racing, Martin has had great successes such as winning the 2022 Great Glen, 3 x podium places at The Norfolk Broads Ultra, and has also become one of only 4 Brits, and 16 people in the world to race and complete the Yukon1000 (miles) race from Whitehorse, Canada to The Dalton highway Bridge, Alaska on a SUP.

He has also won and made many podium spots in smaller sized events, such as the East Anglian SUP Initiative (EASI) winter series, and also regularly making top 10 in other races with strong racer fields.

Martin has coached GBSUP National Champions and ICF World Championship top 10 placed athletes, amongst a whole host of other individuals who have had specific personal goals in the world of SUP racing!

TRAINING & COACHING PRICING

Monthly Training Plans: £50 pcm

These can be tailored for either for a particular event and competition goal, or just for paddling and fitness maintenance between races and goals. These are based on a minimum of 3 months at a time, as an 8-12 week period is generally what is required to enable changes in paddling and fitness to be made

Video Stroke Analysis: £80 ‘in person’ or £60 ‘via supplied remote videos’

This is where we have a 1:2:1 in person session which normally lasts a couple of hours and consist of looking at your stroke, recoding it, having a conversation as to how we’d potentially change it, make suggested corrections and practice those.

Then the video is analysed after the session annotations and voice over recordings with the video reduced to a frame by frame speed so we can really drill down and analyse the stroke. This then allows for you as a paddler to really see what it is you’re doing and then to have a practical, physical, video and audio ‘toolbox’ in which to take away and start to put into practice.

This can also be done via ‘paddler supplied’ (directions given as to what is required) and will include everything with the exception of the ‘in person’ element.

1:2:1 Coaching Sessions ‘in person’ - £70pp

This is exactly what it states on the tin, an in person coaching session for improving stroke, paddle efficiency, training advice and anything that you feel you’d like to work on when it comes to actual paddling on the water. (around 2-2.5 hours).
